Ravi Zacharias

For 36 years Ravi Zacharias has spoken all over the world and in numerous universities, notably Harvard, Princeton, and Oxford University.  He has addressed writers of the peace accord in South Africa, the president's cabinet and parliament in Peru, and military officers at the Lenin Military Academy and the Center for Geopolitical Strategy in Moscow.

Dr. Zacharias has direct contact with key leaders, senators, congressmen, and governors who consult him on an ongoing basis.  He has addressed the Florida Legislature, the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast in Texas, the United Nations in New York, the White House, and the Pentagon.

Dr. Zacharias was born in India in 1946 and immigrated to Canada with his family twenty years later.  While pursuing a career in business management, his interest in theology also grew, and he has numerous earned and honorary degrees, including a Doctor of Laws degree from Asbury College in Kentucky.  He is presently Visiting Lecturer at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University in Oxford, England.

Dr. Zacharias has been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University.  While at Cambridge he authored his first book, A Shattered Visage: The Real Face of Atheism, updated and republished in 2004 by Baker as The Real Face of Atheism.  In all, Mr. Zacharias has authored or edited over twenty books, including Walking from East to West: (Zondervan, 2006), The Grand Weaver (Zondervan, 2007), and Beyond Opinion (Thomas Nelson, 2008).  His latest books are The End of Reason: A Response to the New Atheists (Zondervan, 2008) and Has Christianity Failed You (Zondervan, 2010).

He is listed as a distinguished lecturer with the Staley Foundation and has appeared on CNN and other international broadcasts.  His weekly radio program, “Let My People Think,” is aired on more than 1700 outlets worldwide, and his weekday program, “Just Thinking,” on over 400.  Mr. Zacharias and his wife, Margie, have three grown children.  They reside in Atlanta.

11-year NFL Veteran and College Football Coach

Scott played 11 seasons in the National Football League with the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets.  He started in 151 NFL games, including 112 in a row.  He was named to the NFL's All-Pro team in 2002 and received the Bobb McKittrick Award (Outstanding Offensive Lineman) while playing for the 49ers


Scott was a second round NFL draft pick in 1995 by the Giants.  He is a graduate of the University of Montana (1995) with a degree in mathematics, and attained his Masters in Teaching in 2009 at George Fox University.


He was one of the most outstanding football players in Montana Grizzly history, playing offensive tackle, where he currently serves as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator.  Previously he served a four-year stint as the head football coach at Silverton High School in Oregon, leading his teams to the state playoffs twice (2007 and 2008).


He is the only player in Montana school history to receive the Paul Weskamp Award (Outstanding Offensive Lineman) three times, earning the award in 1992, 1993, and 1994.  He was an All- Big Sky Conference selection all three of the seasons that he started, as well as a three-time Big Sky all-academic team pick.


He started in the 1994 East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl, and to date he is the only Montana player ever selected to play in the Senior Bowl. He was named to several All-American teams following his junior and senior campaigns. 

Scott and his wife, Toni, have a daughter, Anna, 13, and a son, Brian, 11.
